Tickets

Tickets can be purchased at the Kingsmere Station shop (located near Moors Valley Golf and Activity Centre) and Lakeside Station kiosk (near the Moors Valley Visitor Centre). Both stations accept payment by cash or credit/debit card.

For safety reasons, no dogs (except guide dogs or assistance dogs) are allowed on the train.

Loyalty card

Buy ten return tickets (child or adult) and enjoy your eleventh free! Pick up or ask for a loyalty card when buying your tickets. Once you have ten stamps, you can redeem either a free child or adult return. Terms and conditions apply.

Parties & groups

If you are looking for an experience with a difference, we regularly run trains for birthday parties, schools, clubs and other private hire events.

We love to welcome groups on the train and can tailor your visit to suit you. Plus, we may be able to offer discounts on return journeys depending on your group size. Find out more about group visits.

Journey information

• Children under 8 must be accompanied.
• For safety reasons, no dogs (except guide dogs or assistance dogs) are allowed on the train.
• You can commence a return or single journey from both Kingsmere or Lakeside stations.
• At quiet times, only Lakeside Station may be open and only round (return) trips will be available.
• Tickets will be clipped before boarding the train. Please keep return tickets so they can be clipped again on your return journey.
• Trains usually terminate at Kingsmere Station. If you wish to continue your journey back to Lakeside Station, you will need to disembark and change platforms to rejoin the train.
• In the event of wet weather, child and adult ponchos are available to purchase at Kingsmere Station gift shop.
